Re: feedback wanted

It was a great experience Tommy, and I appreciate all of you sharing your knowledge and experience. Taught myself to photo restore from a book about 2 years ago. I'm pretty good at the garden variety restores but need more experience with the tougher ones. Before I found this forum, i was basically in my own cave-I thought the restores look good but had zero feedback from someone "in the know" which makes a difference.

I've got a few more tough ones that I am sure I will post to pick your brains. I need to do the work myself if i am to get better-my thing is lack of certain info and experience in some areas. Everyone on the forum has been very helpful and informative

Re: feedback wanted

Thanks guys-it's great to get feedback from those that know so much more than I do. I like the colorization. Something I have yet to try. Another photo perhaps. I'll save that for my own family photos (colorizing and all the other suggestions).

My friend I am doing this for is driving me nuts. She doesn't want me to go overboard and spend much time on the photos. I don't think she realizes fixing just tones or scratches or whatnot and not doing the other stuff is pointless. You can fix all that stuff without going overboard-at least so far I have. The more damaged photos she gave me do require alot more time than she wants me to put in.

But it's good practice and a learning thing for me, as I encounter problems I didn't have in many other photos.
