First Step - colour??

I haven't retouched or restored images in a while (got distracted with digital Scrapbooking)

Anyway, I got my hands on a few old family photos. Some of them are B&W, but some are colour.

My question: when restoring/retouching, should I fix the colour first or last?? I just can't remember...

Re: First Step - colour??

my priorities are:

Copy image

get the best image possible.. using levels, curves, layer modes, shadow/highlight adjustments, etc..

Initial color correct

repair/fix image

final color corrections

Thanks, olBaldy.

That sounds like a good workflow to me!
