Re: colourize black and white photo

Your colorization looks really nice, particularly the skin tones. If anything could use a little more work I might venture to say the hair. At the moment it looks a little flat, like only one color was used, I might try varying the hue and lightness darkness int he shadows and highlights. Similarly perhaps in the coloring of the clothing. Those two things are the only parts that feel like they have been colorized. Beyond that great job.

Thank you all for your nice comments about my work. I am afraid I was a bit shabby with the colourizing sometimes when I need to shill out from a hard days work I just grab a photo and colourize it I am always practicing because there is always room for improvement also I like to share because I know some people love colourizing black and white photo as much as I do and hope I can inspire people them to keep colourizing.

Re: colourize black and white photo

Shabby? There is a lot of colorized work posted on this form and plenty of it misses the mark, your doesn't. It's not shabby at all, you might be able to put more time into it but that's true of almost all our digital work. It's a good skill to have and be able to do convincingly. Keep it up.

Just curious. Same retoucher and simply using a different ID in this forum? The results look rather similar.

Thank you Marie. I was hoping for that answer. I am very familiar with your participation on the other forum and enjoy seeing your postings. You are very talented. But sadly, there have been occasions when great works such as yours have been hijacked and fraudulently submitted elsewhere. Hence my curiosity.

Cheers!

Ah Babine nice to see you here thanks for your lovely comments about my work. Yes it is sad when people hijacked other peoples' work unfortunately the internet sometimes can have a downside to it but good job their are more goodsides especially one can make lots of friends all over the world and learn lots of things.

Best wishes
