Restoring Photos

Problems with photo's
I have seen this many times
You have to have a "GREAT" scan to do restoration work,it's the NUMBER ONE step
Highest resolution possible
turn everything off in your scanner program
watch for clipping
if there is a clipping problem scan twice once for highlights and once for shadow detail
The scan is really important I mean its just like a photograph IF the information is not there Then its not there
So do the best you can with the equipment you have
