Restoring color

Hello,

I've used the midtone eyedropper plus curves and hue saturation adjutment layers to get the "true colors". But still... I'm not very happy with the end result... especially with the hair (pixelation ?)

I looked at your layers and the red one is lacking of details, There is too much highlights on this image, the face is completely burnt at some point....I made an attempt using painting and just a level control, see if it's what you're looking for...

Yes it's quite good... but his hair is too much yellow instead of "white blond"...

It's just paint actually for the hair...I cannot do D&B because here was absolutely no details to work on...Just have to change the colour for another one that suits you better:-).

here's my attemp at it. still working on the hair. I didnt see that you wanted platinum blonde until after i already done this. This in the scaled down version on the full size i fixed the discoloration of the arm

Yes... you've done a very good work...
Not very easy as the photo is overexposed etc...
