photo with no flash My friend recently went out and had a picture taken with danny dyer, unfortunately for her, danny forgot to put on the flash when taking the photo and it's very dark, is there any way of re-touching this pic so that you can actually see them. I'd attach it but it's 400kb so exceeds the filesize limit. Sorry I'm new to this

Re: photo with no flash Ryan, welcome to RetouchPro. It would help to see how dark the photo really is. What photo editing software do you have. You should be able to downsize the image to something like 6 x 9 at 72 ppi and be able to fit that within the 100KB limit. Unless the image was underexposed by 3 stops or more you should be able to restore a lot of the detail. Regards, Murray

Re: photo with no flash I dont have any editing software, I don't have a clue where to start. It's very dark, practically black, you can just make out part of her shoulder. It was a standard digital camera she used, I've tried using basic windows picture editor but when i try to adjust the contrast or brightness, it becomes just a mass of pixels

Re: photo with no flash If the image was taken by a point n shoot and saved as a jpg, the shadows were likely clipped by the camera's processing and it may be too dark to =recover anything useful. However, if you would like folks here to take a look at it, upload it to a free web site like Shutter Stock and post a link to it here in this thread. Regards, Murray

Re: photo with no flash Ryan, the detail in this image is like a famous Blue Rodeo song - Already Gone. Unfortunately there is no recoverable data - all of the pixel values are almost at 0 - sorry. Regards, Murray
