I have done several things inorder to draw out this picture....it is actually a newspaper clip . I just cannot seem to figure out how to reconstruct the babys breath that she states was in her hair..the hair has an odd gloss to it to begin with ...this is the first time I have tryed to do anything with a newspaper .......any help would be appriciated!!
I know I will not be able to please every customer...infact they recieved a lovely vingette already
...but its driving me crazy!!!!

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

I think (but it's my own opinion) that you should stop "reconstruct" it and instead Draw new one (doesn't seems so difficult). As I said in another post of yours, I still see black and white little balls like pearls (and not baby breath). But if she says so .
You've done a very decent job with what you had so far. Concentrating on repairing the background would be a plus. I think that when you will finish the image making it really perfect, then you will have to bother about what she got in her hair, and it will be a relief.

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

This may turn out to be a really stupid question but .........Could I ask what is meant by "baby breath" and see an example ?

EDIT: After doing a second google search found out what it is - and here was I looking for some kind of obscure photographic fault

jesterjeni apologies for the interruption - particularly as I have not been able to offer any constructive advice.
BTW looks like you have done a pretty good job so far seeing as it was a newspaper cutting

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

babys breath is a type of flower, usually mixed in with other flowers as an accent...the lady claimed that her hair had them in it to match his flowers...??
I found a picture to give you an idea..

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

the baby's breath is around the hair clasped at the top, back of her head. those little white spots are the flowers.

also, for those that worked on the same pic in the other thread, the guy's hair is much fuller than you're giving credit to.

and, jesterjeni, please dont post the same pic in two different threads, especially when it's of a similar problem/nature. it just confuses things here.

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

sorry about that....it was posted more than once...
the picture did look like the guy had a huge head of hair...
how would you approach it? would you just clone in flowers? the other thing is that his flowers that his chin seems to be resting on would have to be done the same way and I am not sure what it should have looked like...it seems like dots ????
(again sorry for posting it twice)

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

he does have large hair.

there are a couple options on the flowers. there's not enough there to really restore. so, you either fake it in or ignore it. my tendency would be to ignore it and just treat the hair, but if the client made specific requests regarding this and you cant talk them out of it, then a rebuild is in order. for that, you find a good picture of the flowers and paint them in (clone is fine). you then have to dull them down to fit the rest of the picture. i'd keep the amount as minimal as possible. and the ones under his chin i'd ask the client. they seemed more keen about the ones in her hair and might disregard the chin ones. but, if not, again, just find a good pic and rebuild.

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

I think you should blur it a little that it matches the blur of the overall image...
I think you done great with what you had...

Re: I dont see it in her hair.....

I see you and I do a little opr...wow...!!
I didnt know you were aloud to post those...I have tryed a few myself
this picture seems to loose alot of detail, drawing in the flowers just didnt work well for me....
it was a newspaper clip...and the flowers that I put in just did not blend well...I gave the original back
this is a scan I had ...I was also afraid if I did the flowers in her hair that it would look awkward because of the flowers under his chin
