specks of light

What is the best way to tone down the specks of light that are on the glasses and in a few other places in the picture?

Re: specks of light

Just the clone or patch tool on a new layer should do the job. You will need to take care around the eye left of image to make sure you line it in properly. I would suggest that you also apply the effect 100% to completely remove then reduce the layer opacity to suggest there is glass actually in the glasses.

Specs elsewhere in the image should respond well to Spot, healing brush and or patch tool.
