Solarus you've done a great job restoring the damaged images I am in the process of restoring your photo I pray you don't mind as I am practicing with photo restoring and they are good photos to practice with. I will post my finished results back for you to see.

Thank you I shall post it at my flickr account if it's ok because I can't seems to post larger size on retouchpro.com I've never restore photo such as this it's a good photo to practice with.

I've finished the babies photos I cleared up the stains and re-colourized the photos.

In this type restoration, bringing back nice colors is the biggest challenge.

You've done a great job bringing back the colours. Can I please ask how you bright back the colours? it's brilliant better than re-colourised.

No plug-ins, they don't exist.
First step: choose the right area for the levels adjustments.
The rest is retouching & repair work (use curves selectively).
