Your version looks terrific. Thanks for sharing the programs you are using & some editing details.

When i looked at this thread i compared all the versions and i come to the result that your version was the best and i wanted to top that,
but i think i only made an equal result.

My version has a better contrast but paid this with loss of detail (look at the nose).
One thing i could improve, i had removed the chromatic noise (which looked like chromatic abberation) of the JPEG artefacts (the rug on the floor).
The cat itself could only improved by re-drawing the hair or borrow it from other pictures, because we came to the end of recovering possible details.
Another soltution is, if the thread starter could serve a better source
image with less or no JPEG compression.
