| How to remove these scrapes from an image? When restoring damaged old photos, I see from time to time photos containing scrapes, of the kind seen in this photo (eg: visible above and to the left of the building's chimney, and below and to the right of the park bench) http://s1076.photobucket.com/albums/...nScratches.jpg I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of these marks (using Photoshop), which cover a significant proportion of this photo. Nothing I've tried has come close. Is a liberal (and very time consuming) application of the clone tool my only option, or is there a more elegant solution to this problem? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Sam |

| Re: How to remove these scrapes from an image? Hello, nice work cupcake! :-) by the way, what did you with corel painter? I want to remind that jarsam asked if there is another faster way, than the time consuming application of the clone tool. i just removed the scratches the "frequency domain filter" of the programm "Image Analyzer" which was a pretty fast way (some seconds, less than a minute). If you are familar how to use this filter you could do this also in that speed. another good tip is the discontinoued software "polaroid dust and scratch removal" you could try this too. greets |
