Smile Can this be restored

Can anyone help me with restoring this photo. There was a film over the original that has caused a white milky layer. Any thoughts? thanks Ben

Re: Can this be restored

The 'white' milky layer is silvering. It's really blue. See http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...silvering.html for several approaches to the problem.

Re: Can this be restored

Yes it can be.
I used the red channel.
Healed and repainted.
Larger file if wanted.

Re: Can this be restored

welcome to RP, benthomason

whereas i leave it mostly up to the other folks in here helping, this is a peer to peer help site, meaning, you're free to post work up here for others to view and help you with, but we do discourage solicitations of asking for totally freebie work. it's the teaching a man to fish rather than just giving him the fish philosophy. we're perfectly willing to help you learn to restore, but we're not a freebie service where any and all can come and expect we all to do their work for them.

also, it's not a good idea to post your email address in public. you'll tend to get spammers sending you all sorts of junk email (and worse). use the private messaging system here to give folks your email. much safer

Excellent work, Jeremy and Cupcake!
Could you walk us through a couple of the steps you took to achieve these results?
Thanks!
