Re: 70's Baby Pic with Yellow dots and Missing hai Hairs with clone stamp tool, low pixel size just as u would pant them. If bigger picture, You could stamp more or cut some other parts and paste them in place. Rest of dots on face and background with healing brush. Color adjustements with curves, color layers, hue saturation. Done in few minutes. With bigger resolution, effects can be stunning.

Re: 70's Baby Pic with Yellow dots and Missing hai This is a pretty basic restoration. Here's what I was able to come up with in about 20 minutes. Color was a variety of adjustment layers with masks. I am not of the school of thought that 'if there is a magenta problem in one area, then it must be the whole picture so only make global adjustments and don't mask.' That's total bull for a variety of reasons that I'd need an entire post to expand upon. I took care of dots with the spot healing brush set to content aware type. Hair, I took care of with a combo of dodge/burn and good old fashioned painting. At the end of the day, you can learn all the technical numbers and methods that exist in Photoshop but you still need some art skills to back up what you're doing.

Re: 70's Baby Pic with Yellow dots and Missing hai THanks all.. I did use the healing brush on those yellow dots and when you are in the restoration mode, you tend to focus on absurd things and forget the obvious such as sporkaphobia with the good old fashioned painting in hair... I tried the dodge/burn on the hair and copy/paste and blend... but forgot the obvious.. made me laugh.. thank you.. like the softness of the hair from both of you.. great job I do like how you kept more white texture in the shirt than I did.. cool
