Smile Multiple problems

Hello Everyone, I am new to photo restoration and retouchpro. I have Photoshop Elements 9, and I'm working on hundreds of old family photos that I have scanned using the Canon LiDE 100 Image Scanner. I've looked at other threads on here regarding double exposure, and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on how to go about fixing this (if it can be fixed). It has some damage as well as a double exposure. I still have the original as well, if that would make a difference in how to restore it. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Multiple problems

wowzers, that's a rough one. First thing I would suggest is using a gradient on a curves layer to try to bring back the contrast in the upper left part of the doorway. Also, I would straighten the house siding/horizontal lines on the right, they're a bit staggered right now. Overall a good start but work on smoothing some of that cloning as it's starting to look a bit patchy. Hope that helps.

Re: Multiple problems

Thanks for the reply 2mittsphotog, I've been saving up for CS5. I figure I'll have another go at it once I get that. I appreciate the feedback! I hope to do some more work on it within the next couple weeks. I'll post it when I do.
