Blurred photo

My sister recently met her favorite Soccer player while serving at her restaurant. The person who took the picture for her though, did not keep the camera still.

She asked me to fix it for her, I was able to repair the man's ear and fix the line on her neck, problems caused by the ghost image but I am not happy with the overall finished product I came up with. I wondered if anyone else might give it a shot and explain their process? I'd love to learn from somebody else here.

Re: Blurred photo

Looks pretty good. Overall I think i'd like a bit more de-blurring since that was my sister's main request. The healing and painting would come as step 2 I think. Maybe I could combine the two

Re: Blurred photo

Getting the blur out of a photo is next to impossible to do. The best thing is not to take a blurred picture if possible. I did attempt to correct some of the blur and used the clone brush the most.

Hope this more of what your sister wanted.

Re: Blurred photo

This is what I managed to come up with. Did a little more clone work on the shirt and stuff, used the eyes cupcake touched up.

unfortunately, i messed up the colors a bit while trying to sharpen things.

Re: Blurred photo

Somewhere down the line there is some Adobe technology, were they are trying to use image analysis to genuinely "de-blur". Although it seems impossible, believe me it's not. That will most probably be your best bet for this particular image. Some future version.

Re: Blurred photo

Nice job Restore Studio, i think the top half is as good as it's going to get. The only thing left would be the text on the shirt. That will probably the easiest part! I take it everyone is using the smart sharpen filter as a starting point?
