Fix color in a scan as well as cracks and stain

My Great Aunt has given me a picture of her and her brothers and sisters when they were young.

I don't think it looks too complicated to fix.. take a look and tell me what you think.

First off, the scan has some blue/green marks on it that aren't on the original photo. What do I do to get rid of that but preserve the color in the rest of the photo?

Second I need to fix some cracks and get rid of some brown marks. How do you suggest doing brown marks on the shirt?

I think think the telephone pole was really crooked.

Cleaning up the edges to make them straight is easy.. I'd like to get this made into 5x7 prints for Christmas for all the people still around in that picture.

I uploaded it here.. it's 4.3MB:

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What's interesting is that I learned the 4th in from the right is Margaret. She ran away from home a few times, but the cops brought her back. One day she left a note on a blackboard saying that she's leaving and never came back. Is that how it is in the old days?

I did everything with the patch tool. I used a selection for the pole and transformed it to straighten it. To get rid of the blue hues I made a selection in the sky and ran the average filter and sampled that with the eyedropper. Then converted to black and white and then added a layer set to color blend filled with the sample color to put the patina back.

I didn't spend a lot of time and took out the phone line. Took about 10 minutes. If you take more time you'll have a real nice photo.

Thanks so much. I am going to look into that average filter you mention and maybe a tutorial. I had tried a few things, but kept ruining the color one way or another.

You can get some good results by adjusting the Levels settings and to get rid of the color I might suggest a Desaturate. The folds I too used the Clone Tool like crazyfly1.

I cropped the picture, so that the individuals show up better. It was easier to replace the sky background than try to fix it. Used a levels mask and sharpened the picture. This is what I came up with.
