I found this very nice article about an Australian photographer Matt Hoyle. The article is illustrated with few portraits that have magnificent and not natural colors. I would like to know what do you think how is it done. I know that it is post processing (stated in the text) but is it saturation, only? I would guess there may be some use of saturation controls but that it's mostly color balance and/or curves. They've all been carefully lit, too - which probably means that, as he says, he only needs to give each photo a "minimal treatment".
