Action/Filter or Tutorial on making a reflection in water

Howdy,
Can anyone point me to a good action/filter or tutorial that would allow me to make an image have a reflection in water. The current image is a modeling shot - full body and the client was wondering if I could make her have a reflection in water, like a wet surface below her, maybe a few ripples. I had in mind like they do in the automobile shoots with the wet floor all mirror like. I am looking for the most realistic way to pull this off with the least amount of steps. I can do it all manually, but if someone knows a good way of doing it, please clue me in

Thanks in advance,

Sarah

Hi Sarah, I tried to find the simplest method, and this worked reasonably well for the image I tried.

Copy and Flip image.
Adjust levels on flipped copy.
Apply Ocean Ripple Filter. (Settings will depend on image size)
Apply Motion Blur. (Settings again to suit image.)

Hi everybody,

Sarah,

...haven't found any plug-in or action yet, but, maybe, these tutorials could be interesting ...

For the ripples, I recommend Displace or Glass.

Simple D-Map for Displace.

New Doc with dimension of target photo.
Red Channel > Clouds/Difference Clouds to taste.
Green Channel > Clouds/Difference Clouds to taste.
Blue Channel doesn't really matter. I prefer 50% grey.

Transform > Distort into place.
Make the bottom wider to stretch the Clouds down there.

Fade the top edge to 50% grey.

Stretching the bottom and fading the top will make the closer ripples more prounced and the farther ripples more subdued.
Kinda.
There are, of course, simple variations for slightly different looks.

Save as a PSD to be used with Displace.

After flipping in the original photo, use Displace and your funky D-Map on the flipped layer.

Mask and other touch-ups as needed.
