Just a few pointers on taking this type of picture:

1. Try to got even with, or a little lower than, the subject; otherwise the forehead look too large.
2. Avoid shooting straight on, doing so gives the illusion of a MUCH wider face, working from an angle is often more dramatic as well as more flattering
3. Many people (especially children), when asked to smile, tighten up the masseter muscles causing them to "bunch" around the mandible bone giving them a very puffy jaw. When people smile naturally the masseter muscles barely move and the zygomatic muscles (major and minor) do most of the work. Therefore you should not ask them to smile, but rather cause them to smile. This one just takes practice.

Hope this helps,

Michael

PS This is probably more than you wanted to know.

Red face

So sorry for my delay in getting back to this Thread!!!

As promised ages ago, here are the lashes brushes I've made ....

I used the brush on a separate blank layer so I could adapt it to the eye with the Transform Tool .... I also 'played' with Blendings and Blur/Sharpen a bit ... (see attachments)

Thanks Xaran for the insight on the way to follow for this kind of manipulations and Michael for the great tips on taking this kind of pictures!!!

Thanks for the Eyelashes. Unfortunately the zipped ones were created in CS, and will not open in PS7, so I'll copy the images you posted and create them as brushes myself.
