Inter-Racial Facial Retouching

There is really a question that intrigues me,

Has anyone ever attempted to retouch say, an African-american into an Asian face.

Of course, I imagine it'll go beyond color changes.Probably have to 'sculpt' the face as well?

You might find This link useful. I have seen the technique applied to "famous" people (George W Bush as an African-American was one I recall), but can't remember the site name.

There is also the Human Race Machine created by morphing pioneer Nancy Burson.

I had a restoration job where (among other things) they wanted a pacifier removed from the mouth of a baby. The prettiest smile I could find that fit the angle and the rest of the baby's features was from a picture of an African-American baby. It worked out better than I expected, the client was quite pleased (being an old photo, he had no recent reference). I doubt it would have worked as well under other circumstances (ie: if the baby was larger in the image, if the photo was current, etc.). No reshaping, just some curves work.

Some great stuff on that site. I tried this at work once the guys here wanted to see what would happen if there was a different race version of themselves. It came off not too bad I relied mainly on traditional clothing and some facial changes, nothing like as good as some examples from the human machine though.
