I added a new action set to my site tonight. It includes 21 actions for adding diffuse glows and soft focus effects to you image.

There are actions for general diffuse glows, high key diffuse glows, low key diffuse glows, soft focus effects, and dreamy focus effects (stronger than soft focus).

The soft focus and dreamy focus effects use layer sets/groups on Photoshop CS/CS2 to make it easier to organize your layers and to do effects like making a circular or oval selection in the center that remains in focus. (You just add a layer mask to the entire layer set/group.)

You can alter the effect by changing layer opacity or Blend If sliders. You can change layer blend modes, too, from Soft Light to Overlay or Overlay to Hard Light.

Let us all know how it goes when you do get the .ATM file loaded into Photoshop. I always enjoy hearing about the results people achieve with my actions.

Version 1.0b is now available. It incorporates a suggestion to add Multiple blend to the higher Low Key Diffuse Glow actions.

I also added two weaker High Key Diffuse Glows that use Lighten instead of Screen blends.

There are now five levels for the High Key and Low Key Diffuse Glow actions.
