Hi, here's my try, not sure if that is what you're looking for though...
I cropped it because I thought the right hand is ruining composition.
And I changed that shadow in background... not sure that it looks good now.
I hope I didn't overdo it...

Hey, I wanna play too!

1) Degrunged

2) In LAB, corrected the forehead glare (Luminosity curve);

3) Made a Gradient Map to match the skin, and masked this in to correct the blown-out yellows;

4) Brought out more detail in the hair using an Adaptive Equalization layer with Soft Light blending masked in;

5) Masked in a Levels adjustment to darken the outside (vignette);

6) In RGB, auto-levels layer, varying opacity to taste.
