Need help painting in hair : photo

I all, I need some help painting in some hair, I don't know how to perform this techniques. I gave it a try but it looks very fake. Can someone give it a try? If I like it I'd like you to share the technique. Thanks.

Copy > Paste > Flip > Rotate
