Blond to other color is easy but i dont know how to make a black hair into blond

i've been working on ur hair for the past 2 hours with no good result !
i selected the hair (quick mask), applied Hue & Saturation on the selection, gave some opacity, but it looks like a wig, u don't want to see it !
i would love to know how to do it ! |

| | | Whilst this is a long way from perfect, I made a quick mask of the hair and adjusted the hair firstly with a curves layer to lighten it, then a hue and saturation layer (adjusting colour) and then a replace colour adjustment so I could turn down some of the black in the yellow. Lastly I toned down some of the brightness of the hair and blended the strandy bits a bit more by upping the contrast a little. |
