*Black layer under the working layer.
*Soft eraser to blend image edges.
*Hue & sat adj on various parts of face.
*Various amounts of adaptive equalization.
*Painted in shadows with low opacity.
*Healing brush to remove items that make-up would normally cover.
*Contrast adjustments where needed.
*Created a simplified layer under working.
*Some gaussian blur.
*Another hue & sat adj.
*Added noise.

Of course layers and masks were involved and applied to individual taste.
LQQKER,

Thank you so much for the "walk through". I do agree, your rendering is a bit out of scope for "glamour retouch" and better fits with photo-art, it's a great work, nevertheless.

Had fun with this one.

I looked at this as I would do If this was going to be publish on a magazine or an Ad.

I think her expression was not very good, so I changed it a bit to give her some attitude.

Then coloring and crop was a key factor.

I'd love to see some feedback.

cheers

I tried an experiment. I used the original picture that I posted, which I intentionally had texture, just to see how Byro's technique would work with the texture I added.

Newbie Post

I'm a newbie to manipulating digital photos. This is the first post of work I've attempted in-order to learn to use the programs I have, this was done in PSP X. I also have CS2 but at this point in my evolution I find PSP easier to use.

I love your version of the picture, DouDimmez. Really, wow. Looks completely real. I love how you added the teeth -- great touch!
