Partial Desaturation

I need to take an old fashioned dress up photo and do a partial sepia tone so that some of the color still bleeds through. I would classify it as a 70% destauration and 30% color bleed through. Any thoughts or ideas?

Got any examples of what you're looking to do, it's hard to judge from your description.

Re: Partial Desaturation

I dont because the lab we go through currently does a batch on all the pictures to make them look the same. It is a picture of people dressed up in vinatge clothing wth bright flowers and props. For the most part the picture is what you would call gold toned sepia however there is a certain amount of color that comes through on the flowers and props.

Re: Partial Desaturation

Copy the layer, sepia tone
Mask it and fill it with a gradient.
