Thicker eye-lashes

Hi, all, I found this tutorial on making eye lashes thicker. http://www.dphotonews.com/tutorials/..._eyelashes.php

I tried to reproduce the effect, but I am having a hard time to reproduce the tapering off effect of the eyelashes. The eye lashes I made [even with the simulate pressure checked for the brush I use] come out all equal density and color. Can anyone more experienced in cs2 be more detailed in terms of how to achieve the tapering off effect? thanks in advance.

Re: Thicker eye-lashes

As I wrote on my site if there is any problem in understanding any of the tuts there just ask me via e-mail.
But since I am here ...... When you turn Simulate presure ON and you get same thickness of the line everywhere you just go to the Brushes palette and under Shape dynamics set Control to Pen pressure and voila.... Maybe I must add this to the tut

Re: Thicker eye-lashes

wow, I thought I could get help from some experienced people here and image I get to the guru who wrote the tut! Sorry for the omission, and now it works great! I never knew you could simulate lashes that way! I think yours is the best because you can control where and how long the lashes are and the direction! Thanks a million.

Re: Thicker eye-lashes

This method is good for darkening eyelashes but what if there are some empty spaces between eyelashes?

Re: Thicker eye-lashes

I find using the smudge brush at 1px and setting the mode to darken allows you to pluck from the lash line rather successfully (on a new layer of course (blank))
