Parc Cruz PP

Hi all,

I've been trying to mimic Parc's work, but I just cant seem to get it.

The color and skin tones and the eyes (which I'm pretty sure have had PP too) mostly, I've been trying to recreate.

His work can be viewed here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/parc/se...7594281153428/

Can any of you brilliant guys (or gals ) recreate his workflow and post a walkthrough?

Thanks guys!

Re: Parc Cruz PP

looks to me like HDR (high dynamic range) --

google the above, and you'll see examples and technique... most used for landscapes, but now used on people with some funky effects...

you can also check out these pages for some examples (not as extreme as Parc's, but easily taken there...

Re: Parc Cruz PP

Actually I'm very familiar with HDR, I've done it many times before, but I dont think this is HDR.

Re: Parc Cruz PP

i've looked on some of the faces and they tend to have a sligh halo effect around their heads....this gives me some ideas that HDR has been used...

Re: Parc Cruz PP

Pretty gorgeous I must say!

Here's how he do it..
From the man's own words in one of his comments there

Parc Cruz Pro User says:

Hi Shiela,

The photo above is not HDR, but I created 3 different exposure using 1 JPG using a level layer. Then created a mask on each layer so I can blend them in, base on my requirements. Finally Dodge & Burn.

Re: Parc Cruz PP

Thank you rad.homme
What I tried was a bit simpler..
1. High pass layer in Hard Light mode above the original
2. Then copy High Pass layer again and put it in Multiply Mode.
