Photo Retouching - - Fixing this photo

Hi,
Any suggestions on how to make this photo look better? It is a poor quality digital with stray pixels and other problems.

I have already applied noise ninja.

Here's a two minute job. I wrote curves to make the white part of the ball white, and the black part black. This killed some of the blue/green cast. I appled a bit of shadow/highlight on the L channel. And did a hi radius, low amount sharpen.

Just a slight change in the skin tones. Color correction being so subjective it is hard to say if this change is an improvement. I tried to reduce the red in the skin tone--but perhaps there might be too much green. I used the neck area for the sample area and one place on the left side of the face. According the the numbers that I got the color balance was off for the skin tones.
