| | | Re: black and white warm tone Its called Sepia..
You can use the Photo Filter, theres a filter called sepia or there is also a default action in Photoshop called Sepia toning. If you google Sepia you'll find thousand other ways.

| | | Re: black and white warm tone You can also use Image>Mode>Duotone. You will be able to adjust the color and tone across the whole spectrum. Jusrt be sure to convert the image to Grayscale if it is not already there.

| | | Re: black and white warm tone i know and use the sepia ways. but i don't achieve this special look.
it must be a combination:
1. reduce saturation
2. warm tone
any other ideas? |

| | | Re: black and white warm tone Well in addition, there is no tone in the whites (eyes and shirt). The contrast is fairly high and the focal point of the image is sharp and the background is blurred. |

what do you think about the eyes and the lips for example.

| | | Re: black and white warm tone yes that looks similar. desaturation and a kind of sepia toning is the key.
maybe only the midtones are in focus. details seemed to be masked out.

| | | Re: black and white warm tone Hi again, Tom,
what I did is: - 1 Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer where I decreased Saturation and increased Lightness in Reds and Magentas only. (I reduced the Layer's Opacity until I was satisfied with the result.
- 1 blank Layer, Mode> Color filled with a warm golden beige colour. (Opacity 95%)
- Optional.. 1 blank Layer, Mode>Overlay to enhance the eyes.
Just play with the opacity of the different layers until you are satisfied.. Attachment 1 = a snapshot of my workflow to show what I masked where...
Hope this helps... |
