black and white warm tone

how to create that special black and white tone?

I try it with hue/saturation but I don't get that special look.

Re: black and white warm tone

Its called Sepia..
You can use the Photo Filter, theres a filter called sepia or there is also a default action in Photoshop called Sepia toning. If you google Sepia you'll find thousand other ways.

You can also use Image>Mode>Duotone. You will be able to adjust the color and tone across the whole spectrum. Jusrt be sure to convert the image to Grayscale if it is not already there.

Re: black and white warm tone

i know and use the sepia ways. but i don't achieve this special look.

it must be a combination:

1. reduce saturation
2. warm tone

any other ideas?

Well in addition, there is no tone in the whites (eyes and shirt). The contrast is fairly high and the focal point of the image is sharp and the background is blurred.

I try the tutorial later. thank you.

what do you think about the eyes and the lips for example.
there is still color. not only sepia.

Re: black and white warm tone

yes that looks similar. desaturation and a kind of sepia toning is the key.
maybe only the midtones are in focus. details seemed to be masked out.
