Glow effect

I just looked through my five 3-ring binders for a description or tutorial
on a glow or blooming fog effect that I thought was in RP's tutorial section.
The effect softened the image but particularly bloomed the highlights and somewhere in the process it used the Soft Light Blending Mode.

Anyone remember this or have notes they could post here or send me?

Many thanks

Re: Glow effect

An easy way to do it is to duplicate the layer the add a G-blur to it and set the layer mode to screen. You can also use the Diffuse Glow filter.
To use the Diffuse Glow filter make sure your background color is white.
I used 0-2-7 setting.

hope this helps,
