| Re: Gold/Silver portraits I am strickly a novice in the retouching department and do it only for fun. I took a portrait and duplicated the layer and changed it to the color blending mode. I have several gold metals in my styles palette(they are from WOW) and applied it. Went to LAYER>LAYER STYLE>SCALE EFFECT (the last one in my column) and it shows 100% but you can still move the slider a little to the left and get some type of gold effect. I am not sure if that is what you are looking for. As far as silver goes, that is gray and shows up as such when using either chrome or silver metals.
Sorry, but the only portraits that I have, have been downloaded from sites or retouching text materials and I believe that it is against the rules to post such. Put up a picture and I'll give it a try.

If you mean how to tone a picture with a gold tone like a sepia print is done, you would have to change it to a B/W using the desaturate--or some other method--and then go to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENT>PHOTO FILTER select the color you want and experiement with that.
