prison break portraits...looks very nice!

I'm a big fan of haigh res portraits! These pictures here must be taken with a hasselblad with phase one digital back or a leaf digital back! the detail even in these small pictures are very nice!

I must get me a hasselblad with digital back

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455275/

Gerry

PS teh pictures I'm thinking about is where they standing alone infront of the concrete wall!

Re: prison break portraits...looks very nice!

Followed your link Gerry, hard to tell what it’s been shot on, But must agree with you, having just upgraded from an Imacom 2030 to Hasselblad H3D. Much better colour (or color for our American friends) and sharpness, however very much slower when used tethered. Will need to upgrade my Mac. (Does it ever end)
The difference between a Hasselblad and even a high end 35mm is massive. Unfortunately so is the price!

Re: prison break portraits...looks very nice!

tho the 'blad is one way , a similar high sharpened effect is possible in photoshop through the use of a third party plugin

Re: prison break portraits...looks very nice!

tula: didn't think you have made anything similar to the priospn break portraits! that has nothing to do with sharpness but high resolution in the image sensor on the camera!

Re: prison break portraits...looks very nice!

Wouldnt it be rather hard to determine by looking at low resolution srgb images, that a hasselblad was used?

Re: prison break portraits...looks very nice!

find some hasselblad portraits, compare them to a canon 1mdk picture and you will see teh difference in everything...a hasselblad with a phase one 39mpx digital back vs a canon 1d 16mpx...the difference in sensor quality and size is big! you will see the difference straight away! vs hasselblads homepage and look at their pictures,,,
