Re: What do you Think about this retouched Portrait?

Ruud thanks for those links

just an observation on my part is that on the final final version the lips are strange in that the lower lip pretrudes a lot more than the upper lip due to the darkening of the top and lightening of the bottom lip thus making the bottom lip appear closer to the viewer -

i prefere the lips on the previous version -

HOw are you getting the colour in this image ??

thanks

Re: What do you Think about this retouched Portrait?

I am laughing out loud at all this 'retouching' of an already retouched image...

Doesn't matter what you do, it looks way too much, because it's already retouched. You just touched it a lot, no retouch.

Re: What do you Think about this retouched Portrait?

okey, maybe youre right Ant, but i have just fun in retouching and i try to get more experience, i try new things for me, and practise just to get better, i'm 14 years old so i'm not a prof or something you know and i just retouch for 2 years now. But I respect your opinion (as a prof i think? because you last time was talking about a maybeline thing? or something), so thanks for your critique, I will do something with it! (and thinking again of the photo not already was retouched)

zganie, i think you did a good job! but i think by that 'glowing effect' you make it on real -not that my image looks real, its way to perfect, no one can be like that, i know, its like Ant say 'it looks way too much', because its already retouched- but now for youre image, by that 'glowing effect' you
-for example- doesnt see the skin texture anymore! but for the rest it looks good For me!

Ruud.

Re: What do you Think about this retouched Portrait?

I'm in the "no expert" side of things - and very little experience doing it... and Lord knows I like messing around with pictures too. I think people often over work the eyes... making the whites TOO white - but I see it a lot on professional magazines too, so maybe it's just me.

The lips in this picture... in the original it looks like she is puckering for a kiss, but smoothing it changes the whole picture story, so though the reworked lips look fine... I'm not sure it's appropriate.

Just my 2cents

A request for a step by step tutorial via email really defeats the purpose of these forums where we share knowledge openly. I'm not saying that it is in any way "against the rules", but that if someone wants to write a step-by-step tutorial, their time and effort would be more effective if posted openly and shared by all.
