Ripples

I wonder if anybody can help me. This image is a very rough idea to produce a sky reflection in a pond. I only want about 2 or 3 small ripples coming in from the top RHS. I have use displacement maps before to distort text over folded cloth, but this seems to be the other way around. I want to distort the reflected sky.
Any suggestions would be very grateful.

Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I did this using the Flood filter by Flaming Pear. Available free HERE or for Macs HERE
