Since this thread was revived, here's my try. The biggest fault with the picture (in my eyes anyway) was the lighting, so I changed that to a more dramatic look, as well as the usual clean up. Also re-toned the hair.

I used alot of the clone tool (one of my fav's), also some healing brush. Blurring and noise effects. Aslo curves for color adjustments

a friend of mine Conrad Rotondella is one of the big pro retouchers that comes here on occasion. He is about to launch his tutorial site and has some videos on dealing with some color issues and blacks that might help. His blog is at www.imagemavericks.com. Site is brand new they haven't announced yet but you can ask him questions in the forum there or watch his vids. They might help. he pretty much turned me into a highend retoucher.

Skin tones improved, overall image lightened, some healing and cloning. I also cropped the distracting black part of the photo.

First time retouching a picture on here and I was bored, so I really took my time on this

Lots of healing and clone stamping to retouch skin and remove hair, also to reshape nail.

I changed the curves to get more contrast in the picture and it helped tone down the redness in the skin.

Liquified the nose, chin, and eyelid.

Hi there
its a little late but i saw this topic yet.
So i tried something too.
here the process :
clean the skin with clone and healing tools.Also used kodak digital gem-skin filter.I brushed her eye sides with the color select her skin tone, then reduce the opacity this layers.
luquify the nose lips and eye a little for more glamor look.
I used PWL for eye and makeup a little.
Reshaped her eyebrow with clone and healing tools.
recolored her skin and lips..
I did some manicure her nails too It seems quite sexy
I used levels for contrast.
Thats what i remember.
