Hi everyboy.

Mi son wants to have a picture from him in the Dragan and/or Fiscus Style. Is there anybody here who can help us? I have made a picture from him at my studio.

Thanks to all and greetings from switzerland.

Re: Dragan and/or Fiscus Style

here is my rough try...made in 10min...haven't done any skin retouch...just adding light and background...didn't have any good backgrounds, so I ended up with a picture taken from an urban street somewhere(free stock at www.scx.hu)

LOL... cheers.

The one I did took about 15 minutes.

First thing first was to replace the background by masking out the grey backdrop and letting the graffiti show through.

Then I used these two tutorials, in this order.

Lucis Arts Emulation

and then

Amy Dresser Technique (method 1, method 4 and finally method 5)

@ superkoax: I tweeked the effect on the ear and reloaded the file here.
The large version link (above) now points to the new version.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Maybe later I'll try the true Fiscus style which will take longer than 15 minutes.

I quite enjoyed this one so I did another for fun. Influenced by Florian Schneider.

Re: Dragan and/or Fiscus Style

here is my attempt.
I think this technique is best used on aged faces. It was a challenge to enhance the pores & lines of this youthful face.

but hope you lile.

Re: Dragan and/or Fiscus Style

Leuallen, I like the background you have chosen. The pose itself is quite static and that long diagonal in the background makes the whole picture look much more dynamic. Great choice.

I have never tried this style before and didn't managed to get that desaturated, dark, oversharpened, high contrast, blue-steel look. In fact, I ended up with a highly-saturated, airbrushed, almost cartoon effect.

Re: Dragan and/or Fiscus Style

after looking at the site you said your son liked the 50 cent picture I had to try a different approach...

-worked on the shadows and highlights with d & b
- added background
- added noise

hope he likes this...if you want I can send either psd file or jpg !?

cheers

Re: Dragan and/or Fiscus Style

Hi there,

I don't know if Dragan stilye works or not on this, or is it a style of Dragan or Hill, but it's a great picture!

tonemapped
desaturated
sharpened by overlay
some lightning effect
selective colorization
background changed
level corrected

greats above!!!
