| | | Retouch for internet dating site Ok, so my friend asked me to retouch a photo of her so she can put it up on one of those internet dating sites. Nothing fancy, just some color correction, background change, yada, yada. She has green eyes and medium auburn hair (it looks too dark in the original).
I've never done this before, so what do ya think? Any ideas?
Thanks!

| | | Re: Retouch My Friend It is very good, but I would work with the color tone of the foreground to match the background.

| | | Re: Retouch My Friend You're right, the color does look better. There was too much red in there as well.
Something like this? |

| | | Re: Retouch My Friend I would get your friend back in front of a camera - she's not exactly pulling the most flattering face. Get her to relax, sit up straight, look directly into the camera and smile naturally - she looks way too uncomfortable in this picture.
In terms of the colour alterations the eyes are way too green.
Try not to change too much in the photo, if she ever meets someone on a dating site, either she'll be too paranoid to meet them because of the changes or the date will be really disappointed - you know how you feel when you buy one of those microwaves meals that look really great on the box but when you open them up its nothing like the picture |
