Request for examples of excellent work.

Could as many of you good people as possible post links to what you think are examples of really good retouching?

I think it would be very informative for all of use - plus I told a would be restorer I would see what I could get together as prime examples.

Thanks in advance -
(this should be iteresting....)

John Steele, over on the NAPP forum has some excellent samples of his work in his portfolio.

Re: Request for examples of excellent work.

I think this is a remarkable example because of the texture.

I'd like to see ( and learn how to remove) paper textures.

I think some of my work is very good - I might not call it excellent, most of it was done as part of my learning process.

Re: Request for examples of excellent work.

Are you requesting Retouching or Restoration portfolio pieces? Sounds like restoration, but you're in the retouching forum.

Re: Request for examples of excellent work.

John Nadler - Yes - very good work. I am always awed by the ability to draw back in missing pieces and not just clone them in.

VEED - Yes I am looking for Restoration examples and I think this thread has been moved to restoration section- no?

Aside from needing to find good examples of restoration I can see that personally I am drawn more and more to B&W restorations; the good ones just intrigue me.

Re: Request for examples of excellent work.

anyone else have the thought that this guy is just fishing for examples that he can use as his work? there is a buttload of high end retouching examples out there. Why come here? next he'll be asking for high res images for download...

just a thought.

Re: Request for examples of excellent work.

Jeeze guys - you almost made ME barf!
What did I do to deserve that?
What's the dirtiest part of the body? Obviously it's the mind.
Besides that, if I were stealing images and weren't worried about the legal or moral issues I sure wouldn't have to ASK for them.

Anywhoo - If you can get over your suspicious natures and give a newby a break...

I once saw a wonderful example of a Civil War era Restoration done from an image in the Smithsonian. I believe I was used as a part of a restoration retouching contest. I remember seeing at least two version of it and the super duper excellent one was from a RetouchPro member ( I think)

If that rings a bell with anybody or that really great work was yours I'd sure love to see it again. Other than that I'm really getting hooked on B&W these days and think I will dedicate one printer to quadtone inkset.
