Newbie over saturated or just some style of my own?

hi guys. very interested in photo retouching. this is my first post here, hope we'll make a good knowledge exchange. ok, enought talking (writing)... so this is a pic of some girl on the web, retouched. i ask you to take some time to let me know about what you think: is the "after" version a bit to saturated or can it be called a "style of my own". i saw that i intend to over saturate my photoshop, although this is not my intention. i don't even touch the Hue/Saturation tab... So... let me know. Thanks

Bumping up the contrast also bumps up the saturation. But no, I don't think your image is too saturated. I think the before image was just very grey-ish.

Re: over saturated or just some style of my own?

I agree-not too saturated. The colors look great to me.

I find myself distracted by two things in your version--1) the tone curve is a bit too harsh (shadows are a bit too deep and highlights too hard), 2) the retouched skin is a little blotchy.

Steep tone curve isn't inherently a bad thing, but it's just not working here IMO.

But you could call these "style of your own" :-)
