I have to agree - the work at Digital Retouch is fairly heavy-handed and generally quite inconsistent.
The work of both Chris Tarantino and Conrad represents the kind of skill level and attention to detail that I would hope to aspire to.
Also - currently my favourite - the totally awesome work being done by Carrie Beene and Otto Imaging in NYC.

If my work was half as good as hers I would be a happy retoucher.
BTW: the term 'Celebrity Retouchers'... does that mean 'Retouchers of pictures of celebrities' or 'Retouchers who are themselves celebrities'? Either way it's a pretty crass term, and since almost all retouching goes un-credited, how can a retoucher ever become a celebrity? Furthermore, surely the nature of celebrity itself precludes the promotion (or even mention) of retouching in the first place.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
