| Paintshop Pro - Age Progression (Hair to Grey, Create Wrinkles) Hi everyone. I'm a Paintshop Pro user (started with 7, using 9 right now) and I'm trying to age some photos (make the people in the photos look older) without making it look cheesy or amateurish. Keep in mind, however, that I still consider myself an amateur. I'm basically trying to take a bunch of my wedding photos, and age my wife and I by about 40 or 50 years. I'd like to give the final retouched (and probably unflattering) photos to my wife for our 1st anniversary. The reason for this is because we love that Adam Sandler song from the Wedding Singer (I want to grow old with you) Here's a sample of one of our photos. Most of the photos are shot in similar lighting. Does anyone have any tips on how I can age us and make it look at least semi authentic? My efforts so far have turned out somewhat cartoony at best. I'm mostly concerned about the hair color being changed to a nice silver/grey. The wrinkles are something I'm sure I can work on with a simple push or smudge. I've tried tons of searches, and most of them seem to be for doing the exact opposite of what i want. I found a couple of promising threads here, but they usually either go to old dead links, or to Adobe Photoshop or Gimp tutorials. |

| Re: Paintshop Pro - Age Progression (Hair to Grey, Create Wrinkles) OOPS!! Zaiphra beet me to it... There is a well explained tutorial by Grumplebits at: http://www.worth1000.com/tutorial.asp?sid=161116&page=1 It explaines the thinking process and execution. It is not technically detailed but does give excelent insight so I am sure that you can adapt the methods or figure out a way to do the same things with PP. BTW, The hair process starts on page 15. Hope this helps... Good luck.. sounds like a fun project.. Granny |

Someone sent me this: a 20 year old model that was professionally lit, dressed, made up, posed, shot and skillfully photoshopped to look 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 years old, respectively. To show you it can be done. Provided sufficient attention, time, effort, and/or money is poured into the project! Are you prepared to do that? http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i3...aroldmodel.jpg Last edited by W.Smith; 03-24-2009 at 11:11 PM. |
