Hello.
yeah i know about the unmasked part.
but what does selective color?
i never used that tool and i'm quite of relatively new into PS.
i started using this software after 2 years of LR exclusively

Its hard to describe ... i would say, that selective color can change color of other color... in basics. Just try and fill page with red, and then run selective color and start the adjustements on red color with use of CMYK color sliders.
In other words it allows to change the tonality of one of the basic (that can be choosen) colors with use of cmyk colors.
(sometimes its hard to describe thoughts in foreign language :P )

Take snap shot of an image you like and practice until you get the look. There are no tricks, no plug-ins and no secretes. Just hard work and a artistic eye. Oh and here is an idea. Try something new and original!!!!

Just becouse You say so?... Sometimes i don't get it.... for ones, who have enought time to read this thread from beginning to end, this could be a very good source of informations... not just about DH style, but about postwork, lightning and stuff... So why would You think, that if someone (as You did) can close this thread by saying this words...
Better share with an informations that could be usefull here .

I guess the painted/drawn look is known (pic), and the dynamic range is either HDR or extensive DnB, or both, with the correct lighting to begin with.
And/or the "slammed"-method.
