That is the Illustrated look that Cspringer used to do over at Dpreview...
Nothing like Dave Hill..
And also that girl looks like a fish out of water...
Nasty.

I didn't say it was a Dave Hill look.
And her skin was perfect for doing this painted look. Fish or not.

Now I'm hungry.

Why don't you post it in a new or existing thread?
Not to be rude, but I am so, why did you post that image if you say you know it was not a Dave Hill look which is what this thread is about...?
Just Curios

It's about the "painted" look in Dave Hill's images. Not the full look.
Nor about fish.
I'd say that was pretty clear.

Re: The demystification of dave hill! let's all he

Ok, here is something, that i have just fire out today, when working on some of my wedding photos. All shooted with raw, with only ambient lightning. In some of shots, i wanted to pop 4 example bright, as sometimes she was to dark on photos (not much, just 1 or 2 f'stops). So, as i have tried to use D&B method, it didn't give me expected results, also using local curves was giving me too much of noise, i desided to use ACD (Adobe Camera Raw) to make another exposure one stop lighter (and whatever You think, noises was less than with use of normal curves), then combine two diffrently exposured layers together, and then mask wtah i wanted.
But here's my idea. With use of this kind of method, You can selectivelly add D&B without loosing any kond of quality. It's not much, but its enought to build lights and shadows on almoust flat surface.

Cyberek ~ people call that "manual hdr". Can do with as many exposures as you like.
Been around a while..

CaptainHook -> yep, i know that, becouse i have used it since i know hdr.
I've just mentioned about it, becous i don't remember, that it was written here before, and maybe someone will find it usefull. I bet, that some newbies in PS and photography usually reads this thread .
