1st shot: I stay on the stool
2nd: I hand on this beam with my hands (picture for legs)

ETA: One reason I like mtmm's example of the scarf guy is because he preserves all the fine detail of the original, like in the eyebrows. He also is bringing out all the real detail in the hands and face when doing his effect. I am painting my details in and they look mushy and his arms look like bacon in my version.
Photo at the top is not only overdone, its loosing data. Look at the skirt, shit, there is no detail on sleeves. This is just another Scott Kelbys "everything to the max" effect and it will ruin all photos everytime. And this is not just an opinion, it´s a fact.

hmm..i didn't notice that. but I didn't do any kind of Scott Kelbys effect.
Maybe, on some step, I should have been more attentive to the sleeves.

actually, there is no so much data on sleeves on the original image..
