My main project is my degree work at my University)) So, I don't have a lot of time ) For all that, I'm planing new ideas, cause I like this kind of photography very much ))

Takes for ever to load and it jittery through.. change your server dude b/c it sucks big time. Slowest I have ever seen...

Here is my attempt with explinatin below.

You are defiantly right about how he lights subjects separately. I was talking to a lady who was an art director for rolling stones and involved in one of his shoots. She confirmed my suspicions from his behind the scenes vids; she says he does light all of his subjects separately (at least on the shoot she worked with).

Here is my take on the Dave Hill effect. I did not light separately:

I have other images that may have bee better to use but since everything takes time, this is what you get

First I pushed the tone setting around in lightroom before export (no exact formula, different image different settings). I used NIC, Lucis 6, PS shadow highlight, D&B. That is not the exact recipe, but it is close as I can remember from when processed it.

Also, due to file limitations a lot of tonal detail... is lost in the posted image.
