Re: The demystification of dave hill! let's all he

my opinion, that Mtmm is not marrited with Lusic. He's just sleeping with Lusic, 1 of 7 days in week )) (read, using just 10% percent of Lusic) sorry, It was not personal)

for me, his processing lsmtng like:
1) raw processing like calvinise
2) playing with channels
3) db
4) a bit of lusic or similar
5) anything but not the most important things

I never was a fan of his works )

2mtmm:
the queistion is: why don't u share ur *raw file? and u'll see what we can do with that

I think that is a fair comment. However, there may be some individuals on this board who do not have the ability to understand from B/A shots what is how an image is processed....how do these people learn?

I for one consider myself to be proficient in Photoshop, and much of what I have learnt is from the close study of other peoples work...deciphering the image. However, I will be the first to admit that a great deal of my photoshop skills result from information shared from others, be it from forums like this or magazines etc.

I strongly believe that a significant element of your skill, also comes from knowledge provided by others.

The purpose of this thread is to do exactly that, share knowledge, not tantalise, and again that is why I see only LIMITED benefit from your provision of B/A shots, don't get me wrong, B/A does have a place, but not on this thread unless it comes with a workflow breakdown.

If you don't want to provide this, then that is completely understandable and I totally respect that...but at the end of the day why tantalise?

EDIT at Hellopicadilly, MTMM does not need to share a RAW file. What we be the point of that?

That is my point. Make your own raw file, good image to start with. Use as much lights as needed. You are still trying to skip the most important part of the workflow. Why me? Why dont you ask raw file from someone else? Ask Calvin or Pelle, those 2 are professionals with quality work all the way, they know how to lit a subject. But I dont see why they would ever give you a raw file to ruin.

I agree Mtmm, provision of a RAW file is totally pointless, if individuals do not understand how to post process it..this again brings me back to the points raised in my last post....

Again with the greatest respect, unless you contribute a meaningful explanation to your workflow, your continued contributions to this thread are baseless, and just imply that you like showing off what you can do.

I suppose the only way you can prove otherwise is by providing a workflow....

Mtmm,

No worries Mtmm, sorry for getting you agitated, this was not intended. To help clarify, can you provide a before and after shot, along with the associated post processing workflow?

I think this would be very beneficial to other members on the board and would also be in line with the objectives of this thread.

Apologies for any confusion.

Re: The demystification of dave hill! let's all he

Sorry Mtmm,

You've completely missed the point. As stated earlier, providing a b/a alone is worth very little.

Provision of B/A and post processing workflow would help many people on this board. If you are not prepared to do this then I and others on this board find it very difficult to understand why you are still taking part in the debate?

As I stated earlier, the only way you can demonstrate to others on this board that you genuinely want to help is by providing B/A and workflow....

If you don't want to this, (I understand if you don't) then why bother taking part in this debate?

The ball is in your court....

Re: The demystification of dave hill! let's all he

Longside give it a rest.
Your talking to some 18 year weasel who offers no help. Isn't that obviuos.
Read through the whole thread and you will see exactly what Mtmm is doing.
Not hard dude.
Like I said stop asking for some trick.. there is no trick.
This thread is hilariuos.
I could care o less about some punk ass with some out of date lame ass lucis art crap.
Go get some steroid boys from you local Gym and do what I told you to do.

Your looking for something that is not here, it is out there doing it.
The only grudge I have with Mtmm is he is a typical thread sponger who ask and ask for help but never gives anybody help.
Shows pretty much his character.
Don't you remember he was the one calling people fags and gays awhile back.
He will go really far with that attitude like I mentioned before.
You can tell how he talks in his thread that he is the only one upset here b/c he knows I called him on his character.
I am fine, I just try to help people as much as possible.
This guy has quite an ego thinking everyone wants to know his "trick" but that is part of his immature character and shows what kind of little punk ass he is.
And I must say Longside you are feeding his ego.
Get over and go out and shoot like EVERYONE here has told you a thouadn times.
I just come in here to rouse up the newbies a little b/c like Bennie profane I find humor in this thread and in people like Mtmm, they are so predictable.
What does upset me is that people let the little punk in here, if it was my forum I would have Booted him a LONG time ago.
Longside, for the last time.
Go shoot some pictures for christ sake.
Think about it. Do you think there is some "trick" he is doing?
Have you tried shooting a 5 point lighting set up???
Also what exacly are trying to achieve here? post a friggin image an I'll DH it for you.
Are you wanting to capture the style with your type of photography?
Do you even shoot pictures?
Are you a retoucher wanting to know in case someone asks you to copy the DH hill look?
Not really sure what you looking to achieve.
The ONLY Point good I will say about Mtmm is he is the ONLY one that actually has gone out and shot something similar to dave hill and tried to take what has been written here and applied it to a real situation.
Good for him, really.
I advise you to do the same and leave him and the thread alone.

Again have you tried to shoot with the lighting set up Mtmm and I and several hundred people have told you to do?
Until then stop begging Mtmm to give you some trick answer.

Post an actual image you have shot or Shut the F*** up.
Thank you
Snook
