maybe it will be best if you put one or two images for retouch, and see how the retouchers will do on the same image. this way you'll have same base for comparison

Here are some straight-forward SOOC session images. And to clarify, I am looking for someone to retouch for me on a weekly basis. I have checked into Colorati and they aren't taking any new business. I'll see if I can find some more challenging work, like some that need fixes in exposure and composition. thanks!

Here is what I came up with. The one I had the most trouble with is the up and down family one. The tones and light quality was not too good, especially on the father.

My favorite was the little girl, so cute and those big eyes. Adorable!

It was interesting...

ah, much nicer do you run a skin softening too? it seems a bit over-smoothed. (Not trying to be overly critical, just wanting to find someone who will accept my constructive criticism and help me match a style, you know?)

To be honest yes, but most (90%) of the smoothness is from the brightness. the skin smoothing didnt destroy the skin texture. below shows the skin (100% crop) after the smoothing.

I was curious and looked at Colorati's price list... they show about a 1$ for some basic things, but I guess with some retouching as you want it will have to be with some hourly rate.

how much does it cost to retouch an image as the ones shown here?

oh.. got ya

yours looks good too... but it has "greenish tint" not yellow
(remember the thing about colour perception, it may not even have colour and your eyes can play tricks on you, especially when you have a predominating colour background, or one with shifted hue, so either stick to how you feel it looks right if you have well calibrated monitor and you trust your eyes, or do it by numbers )

I believe many of the original photos posted are no longer available. If you look back a few pages in this thread there's an address, login and password for an ftp site. Some are available there.

Hey Jasz

Thanks for the images, here is my retouch of the GT. Due to the shot being underexposed, the noise in the shadows lead me to some pretty heavy airbrushing. Good practice though! Going to refine the sharpening and edges though, this is more of a beta version. sRGB has saturated the colors a little too much for my liking, so imagine my edit just a little more muted.

The latitude of the sensor is pretty incredible. Im a Nikon guy (currently stuck with a D200), so you can imagine the difference I saw in Camera Raw.
