| ur opinion hi everyone, (my first post!!) this is a sample of a shooting with a friend; after retouching, the mood of the pic is what i wanted; BUT there 's a lot of things that bother me still: 1) The skin: although skin texture is there as wanted, there are some kind of grey speckles? on all of her face..(forehead, right cheek and nose, not mentionning the chin.sigh*) 2)Hair/eyebrows looks messy, no found tuts or tricks could help me to comb them neat with Photoshop. 3)... must've missed other details, please tell me. Okay, here's how i came to that result: -curves (for the light) -healing brush -"The quick de-grunge trick" of byRO (thank you so so much for that) -D&B on 50%grey layer (thanks to superkoax for that post !!) -hipass for eye, mouth, hair. is there a step i forgot in the process ? or was i too lazy on the D&B ? maybe more healing brush would've help ? concerning the hair im completeely clueless. i want to get the shampoo ad look...sigh* |

| Re: ur opinion Hi, there taipan, welcome to RetouchPRO. ![]() Quote:
![]() I think you've got the tools right, just have to learn how do dose them. The skin texture still looks blotchy and varies over the face. As to the hair, I think you should first try eliminating all the strays (easier) - after that, the "bad hair" doesn't seem quite so bad. (but "shampoo add" is going to be very difficult) Rô (P.S.: You took out the chin, but left the shadow) |

| Re: ur opinion Hi Rô, Thanks a lot for the advice; u're right, i have only my poor technique to blame, i'll have to stick in front of Photoshop and improve with practice. Alex |

You made her face look too good. Can you help me know what steps you followed to achieve the same ? I am too new to retouching yet. Thank you. Pranav |

- Just a very slight deGrunge; - Removed stray hairs (had to rebuild to the left of the mouth); - Removed the funny chin (and the shadow - General cleaning up with the healing brush. That's about it. Rô |
