Re: Help on photo retouch

I really don't know where you want to end up with this image but here's my take at a general clean-up while keeping the natural look.

Clone and healing tool for minor clean-up of skin (don't go too far)
Curve Adjustment layer to correct the colol and contrast.
Burn tool to darken the eyes, eye brows and lips

Re: Help on photo retouch

Hi rdsingh,

I got the most dramatic change by doing a levels adjustment and moving the middle slider to the right to increase the gamma....

It looked a bit washed out before..... I may have added too much texture to his face......

Re: Help on photo retouch

Is this the best photo you have of your friend to use for this? Any chance of taking a better photo?

Be careful with your cut out edges. You don't want them that sharp. Soften them with a small brush and blur.

I took a wack at it. There is more cleanup to be done with this photo but this is as far as I'm taking it. Attempted to add a little depth of field by blurring the ear, some shoulder area.
